Who is Red Mountain Adventure Gear...
Jim & Krista
We have both been camping since we were very young, and carried that tradition on when we started our own family. Jim has been an engineer, running the family aerospace business for over 40 years. Starting Red Mountain Adventure Gear seemed like the perfect retirement business, something along the lines of doing what you love, but calling it work. We enjoy adventuring, whether that be camping, hiking, boating, motorcycle riding, shooting, Jeeping or a combination . With a passion for outdoors, we have set a goal to visit all 63 National Parks with only 18 completed. Although we enjoy both RVing and tent camping, towing our overland trailer behind our Jeep always affords us more opportunities when it comes to fitting into a National Park Campground. We hope our clients find the same joy in the outdoors that we do.
Jared
As we shared, our kids were raised spending every vacation camping at a state park, boondocking in the middle of the desert or visiting some of our favorite National Parks. It goes without saying that Jared has developed a passion to carry that on in his adult life. He enjoys taking his son and pup hiking, loading up his Sequoia and overland trailer and boondocking all over the state of Arizona, or taking a long motorcycle ride on nearby trails. In high school Jared enjoyed four years of a STEM pathway and learned welding and general fabrication, became fluent in CADD and operating the plasma cutter. This led him to pursue an engineering degree, which he is currently working on. He hopes to make Red Mountain Adventure Gear his career and something that he can carry on to his own family down the road.
